Our Terms & Conditions

All of the how's, what's, where's and why's

Below are our terms and conditions that you agree to by booking your photoshoot - if there is anything you are unclear of or would like to discuss please don't hesitate to contact us.


All bookings require a £20.00 booking deposit to hold your appointments for both your photography session and your cinematic preview. All booking deposit are refundable against your order. If no order is placed and both appointments are kept * we will refund you at your cinematic preview only.

*At least 72 hours’ notice is needed to change or cancel your appointment/s or you forfeit you booking deposit and £20 will need to pay paid again for your next appointment deposit.


The acceptance of the booking is based on agreement by the client of the terms and conditions stated herein.


Lite-Box Imagery Ltd shall be entitled to use their own judgement regarding the style and artistic input in the production of pictures. The editing process is a large part of the finished image and reflects the artistic style of Lite-Box Imagery Ltd. Images are fully edited before presenting to Client. Additional edits are carried out at the discretion of Lite-Box Imagery Ltd, and Lite-Box Imagery Ltd reserves the right to charge the Client for additional editing to cover time involved at a rate of £60.00 an hour or £45.00 30 mins minimum. Raw files are not available for purchase by the client.

The Photographer may substitute another photographer to take the photographs in the event of Photographer’s illness or scheduling conflicts. In the event of such substitution, Photographer warrants that the photographer taking the photographs shall be a competent professional.


All bookings need at least 72 hours’ notice to cancel or re-book an appointment via calling the studio on 01202 622 333 or text message to 07484 871 918. All bookings must be re-booked within 7 days of the original booking. All booking deposits are transferred to the new booking if the above is adhered too. If cancelled within the 72 hours or a new booking cannot be completed in the 7 days, you will lose the booking and a new £20.00 booking deposit will need to betaken, unless otherwise stated.


Because the cake is made to order, Cake Smash sessions must be cancelled at least 4 days in advance. If less notice than this is given, a 50% cancellation fee will occur to cover the cost of the cake and to re-book the session, whatever the reason for the cancellation.

Please note it is the parent/career/guardian, responsibility to supervise children at all times. Lite-Box Imagery Ltd cannot take any responsibility for children or your property whist in the studio. Care must be taken to avoid our lights and leads.We have taken reasonable measures to ensure everyone is safe.

Cameras, mobile phone cameras and camcorders are NOT permitted during any session in the studio.

All competition winners must have their photography session within 4 weeks of first call. Otherwise a new winner will need to be drawn. Only one competition winner per family.


Any complaints should first be raised by the Client with the Photographer in writing within 14 days from the date of receipt of images or appointments.


All portraits, Canvas, Acrylics, frames, etc. are non-refundable. Orders cannot be cancelled due to the custom nature of the products. Orders are made to the Client’s personal specification, (i.e. image number, print size, frame style, etc.), the Client does not have the right to a cooling off period. By placing an order with Lite-Box Imagery Ltd you are committing to buy the ordered products.


All photographic materials, including but not limited to digital files and previews etc, shall be the exclusive property of Light-Box Imagery Ltd. The Light-Box Imagery Ltd shall own the copyright in all images created and shall have the exclusive right to make reproductions and use within marketing.


All products with the high-resolution images will be ready to collect within 4-6 weeks of the preview date, at our main reception area. All orders must be collected within 2 weeks or you may forfeit your order. Please contact us if you need to collect outside of this time frame.

All non-purchased images are deleted after your viewing.


Digital images are sent via “We Transfer”. You have unlimited downloads of high-resolution images to download within 7 days. It is the customers’ responsibility to down load them within the 7 days and store them on a cloud. If images need to be resent then there will be a £20.00 charge for this.

All bookings must pay a £20.00 booking deposit at the time of booking. The booking fee is simply for holding your appointment only. Once all your appointments have taken place your holding fee is used against your order. If no order is placed, then we will refund you at the time of your viewing, unless otherwise stated. All bookings including competition winner, deal sites, returning customers etc must still pay the booking deposit.


Spread the cost over 3 easy payments! There is a minimum deposit of £99.00 at your viewing and the remainder over either one or two payments. This will be agreed with you and Lite-Box Imagery Ltd at the time of viewing. Deposits are non-refundable. Maximum repayments time is within 3 months. Lite-Box Imagery Ltd takes no responsibility regarding affordability. This is for you to decide what you can keep up the repayment. Orders that go over this will be cancelled with no refunds. If payments are missed there will be a charge of £20.00 per late payment. If a payment is missed and we do not hear from you within 2 weeks, then your order is cancelled with no refund given. No products are ordered until full payment is made and then the 4-6 weeks delivery time scale starts here.

All images will be adjusted for skin blemishes, exposure, brightness, contrast, sharpness, etc. The Photographer’s judgement regarding these corrections and the number of images put forward to the Client for preview shall be deemed correct. Retouching, digital manipulation and artist finishing is available to the Client as an option at extra cost.



Sorry no returns on children! (Or partners for that matter!) Incorrectly supplied items or damaged items can be returned and will be replaced at no extra charge to the Client.



All orders are presumed to have been received in good condition unless the Client notifies Lite-Box Imagery Ltd in writing of any discrepancy or error within 24 hours of receipt.


Lite-Box Imagery Ltd shall be entitled to use their judgement regarding the style and flow of the session. This includes but is not limited to poses, props and number of images taken. Due to the willingness of subjects it may not be possible to capture all the pictures requested, or images to the client’s full expectations. In the event of uncooperative children at a session of any kind, for any reason, Lite-Box Imagery Ltd may not be able to capture any, or all the images the Client may have requested or expected. In this event under Lite-Box Imagery Ltd discretion rebook you in for another session free of charge with-in 1 week.The Client is responsible for all children at all sessions.


We understand that children can be unpredictable and fall ill at any time. In the event of sickness prior to the session, the Client agrees to make every possible effort to inform Lite-Box Imagery Ltd no later than 72 hours prior to the start time of the photography session. The session can be transferred to a new date which will be at the convenience of both parties within a maximum 2 week period. Lite-Box Imagery Ltd reserves the right to re-schedule outside of this time
limit due to any existing commitments. If the Client fails to reschedule within the 2 week time period, Lite-Box Imagery Ltd has the right to cancel the booking with the session fee payment made non-refundable. If a client is a no show, your booking deposit is non-refundable.



The session fee covers the photographers’ time and talent only, does not include any images (unless stated in session info) and is due at time of booking. Session fees taken for any portrait photography sessions are non-refundable except in the event Lite-Box Imagery Ltd cancels the booking.

We love to give our customers as much freedom as possible. That’s why we give you unlimited use of the images. You can share them on social media and print off as many copies as you wish! Personal uses of the images are unlimited and high-resolution form. We strongly advise you to come to us for products ie canvases etc, as there is a great deal of hidden skill to this part.


We would hate if you received a lower quality product when this can be avoided. We take the stress out of it for you. We cannot correct products that are not brought from us or guaranty the quality if brought elsewhere.
